About the Monroe Tire Family
It's 1974 and we're opening our first location!
Monroe Tire Sales began as a cash and carry. Our customers told us they wanted installation...and that's what they got.
Within a month, we had an oversized door at the rear and performed the service with one floor jack, a four way lug wrench, a used tire changer, and a bubble balancer.

Next...
We moved our customer service to the gas station beside of us, keeping the original building to warehouse tires. Striving to service our customers we now had access to two service bays. |

Growing...
Soon, we outgrew the service station, and relocated to a four-bay building in 1977. We were able to offer faster service and a larger variety of tires as well as expand our services. |

Moving...
With an expansion of customer services, it wasn't long before we out-grew our location again. It was in 1979 that we purchased our current location and again extended our customer service menu. |

Today
We recently remodeled our tire and wheel showroom and waiting area to better serve our customers. We are constantly updating technologies and equipment to service today’s ever changing vehicles and accommodate the motoring publics needs. |

 Monroe Tire Sales, Inc. of Shelby, NC has been voted The Best Tire Store in Cleveland County for 2010 by the readership of The Star. This was announced in the annual Best of Cleveland County Magazine that was published on Sunday, July 25th. It was also announced at The Star's winners celebration on Monday, July 26th at The Gondola Italian Restaurant when the winners' certificates were handed out.
